World début at Geneva for the Maserati GranTurismo S
A year on from the presentation of the GranTurismo, Maserati returns to the Geneva International Motorshow to unveil its latest take on the sportscar: the GranTurismo S.
The new Maserati was developed with a shift of emphasis onto performance and driving enjoyment. The principal innovation is the 4.7 litre, V8 engine that produces 323kW (433 bhp) and the sequential robotic gearbox that boasts the superfast MC-Shift. The GranTurismo S also employs a transaxle set-up common to many high performance cars.
Aesthetically, the Maserati GranTurismo S has undergone a series of subtle, yet effective modifications that give it an athletic and dynamic poise. This is further enhanced by the newly designed exterior lines and the horizontal piping on the Poltrona Frau leather and Alcantara seats.
